THE TULSA SHOW 2008 JUNE 20th-21st, 2008

On June 20th and 21st, 2008 The Historical Miniatures Society of North Eastern Oklahoma will present the 20th Annual TULSA SHOW at the Radison Hotel Tulsa. The HMSNEO was founded in 1982 as an organization to advance the painting and collecting of military miniatures and scale models as well as the study of history. To attain these goals, the HMSNEO is pleased to sponsor the TULSA SHOW 2008, to provide a venue for painters, sculptors, modelers, and collectors from across the country to display their finest creations and acquisitions and to promote excellence in all skill levels represented at the show. PLEASE NOTE: Entrants wishing to sell their work should inquire at the TULSA SHOW Registration Desk. In addition to the Exhibit Area, there will be a Vendor Room, where one may purchase the latest figures, books, military art prints, scale models and various other collectibles.

HOSPITALITY SUITE
The weekend of events begins Friday Evening June 20th at 7:00p.m. in the HMSNEO Hospitality Suite at the Radisson Hotel Tulsa. The Hospitality Suite will be in the Radisson Hotel Tulsa Presidential Suite located on the 9th floor. Everyone attending the show is welcome to enjoy a great evening with us in our legendary Hospitality Suite complete with an abundance of good food, good drink, and great conversation.

THE EXHIBITION

Saturday morning, June 21st, 2008 beginning at 8:00 a.m., the TULSA SHOW opens for registration of exhibits. The EXHIBITION HALL and VENDOR AREA will be open to the general public at 9:00 a.m. Each Exhibitor is required to register before entering the EXHIBITION HALL. The registration fee is $10.00 per exhibitor ($8.00 for HMSNEO members). This fee allows you a space of half the table's depth by three feet (3') in width for your entire display. If you require more space, please advise the Registration Desk upon registration. General admission is $5.00 per person and supervised children under 12 are free. Each Exhibitor may have one individual assist in setting up his/her display in the Exhibit Hall. Admission for individuals assisting Exhibitors is $2.00.

FRIDAY NIGHT AUCTION

The annual auction of painted figures and scale models will be held on Friday evening at 9:00 p.m. in the Hospitality Suite. Of the pieces offered, some will be one-of-a-kind conversions painted and sculpted by award-winning miniaturists. This offers you a great opportunity to obtain a unique addition to your collection. SEMINAR
This year's guest speaker is Mark Buchner who will be speaking on the subject of TBA. We are currently working on having a second guest speaker for the 2008 show. Stay tuned.

The Painter's Figure for Tulsa Show 2008 is ...

THE PAINTER'S MODELS
Aircraft - the Fw 190 , any variant and in any scale. From the prototype to the final bird taken from production.

Armor - any Tiger I in any scale.
Any offshoots or hybrids of the standard
Tiger I outline are not eligible.

It must look like a Tiger I

JUDGING
The exhibition will be a judged competition in which the awards will be presented to those entries that display the highest proficiency in the painting and display of military miniatures and scale models. All judging follows the International Judging Criteria. Copies of the INTERNATIONALJUDGING CRITERIA ARE AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST AT THE REGISTRATION DESK.
